Root canal therapy is often conducted in several sessions with Midwood endodontist, Dr. Michael Feinberg. Before the procedure, your tooth will be numbed and your doctor will gain access to the inside of your tooth to clean and eliminate the infected pulp, nerves, and bacteria. Once your tooth is thoroughly cleansed, it will be sealed with a permanent filling. In addition, it should be capped with a dental crown to secure the teeth and prevent it from breaking.

There are several warning signs that you’ll need a root canal with Dr. Feinberg. This includes an abscess on the gum area, excessive sensitivity to hot and cold, severe tooth pain, and inflammation. However, sometimes no symptoms exist, in which case, our endodontists will be able to examine the health of your teeth through oral x-rays and an oral evaluation.
